Ajwain or Carom Roti Recipe

Ajwain or Carom Roti is a simple wheat roti and is very easy to prepare, serve it with pickle, Aloo/Potato Curry or Curd. Ajwain has many health and medicinal benefits like Remedy for Stomachache pain, relief from cold, Asthma, Diabetes Mellitus etc. I will suggest you to use Ajwain once at least once in a week for chapati preparation.

  • Preparation Time – 10 Mins
  • Cooking Time – 10 Mins
  •  Serve person      – 4


S. No Ingredients Quantity
  1 Wheat Flour 250grm
   2 Ajwain 1 Tablespoon
  3 Salt to taste 1 Tablespoon
 4 Water 1 Glass
  5                                                Ghee 1tbps

Recipe Method

Step 1– Take a wheat flour in a bowl and mix Ajwain seeds and salt mix the water and using finger until converted into the dough.


Step 2 – Take big size balls from the dough and roll into the Roti.

Step 3   Heat the Tawa and cook the roti on both sides slightly on both sides and then put on direct flame until puffed well.     

Step 4 –  Take the ghee and apply it on the roti.  


 Ajwain roti is ready served it with pickle/chutney…
