Aloo Parwal Dry Curry Recipe

Aloo Parwal dry curry is easy to prepare and have many benefits, Parwal is a good source of  Vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2 and vitamin C, it helps to control sugar and cholesterol. It helps to control weight and ageing factor.

  • Cooking time –  20 mins
  • Serve persons – 4

Ingredients

S. No. Ingredient Quantity
1 Aloo/Potato 2 Small Pieces
2 Pointed gourd  4 Pieces
3 Chopped Green Chilli 1 pieces
4 Turmeric powder 1 Tablespoon
5 Coriander Powder  1/2 Tablespoon
6 Salt As per taste
7 Refined oil/Olive Oil 2 Table Spoon
8 Red Chilli powder 1 Tablespoon
9 Water 1/2 Glass
10 Garam Masala  1/4 Tablespoon
11 Grinded Onion 1 Piece
12  Dry Amchur Powder ½ Tablespoon
13 Chopped Green Coriander ½ Tablespoon

Recipe method

Parwal/Pointed gourd

Step 1 – Take a bowl peel and cut Potato, Parwal/Pointed gourd.

Step 2 – Heat the 2 tablespoon oil in pan/kadhai and drop cumin seed, and allow to crackle.

Step 3 – Add the Onion Paste + Green Chilli and Saute until turns brown.

Step 4 – Add Turmeric Powder + Coriander Powder + Red Chilli + Potatoes + Parwal/Pointed gourd and Saute it for 1 mins on low flame.

Step 5 – Now add 1/2 Glass or 100 Ml Water and cover it with lid for next 10 mins. Mix it in between in every 2 mins so does not stick/burn from bottom in the Pan/Kadhai. 

Step 6 –  Once fried properly add the Garam masala + Dry Amchur Powder and mix it well.

Garnish it with Chopped Green  Coriander and serve it with Roti/Phulka/Paratha
