Bengali Rasgulla Recipe

Bengali Rasgulla is a popular sweet dish and is popular all over in India. Bengali Rasgulla is known by many names, like White Rasgulla, Chena Rasgulla or just Rasgulla. When I first ate this Rasgulla, I thought to give a try it at home, and really it was very easy to prepare in my very first attempt.

  • Preparation time 10 mins
  • Cooking time – 60 minutes
  • Serve person- 4 – 6


Ingredient Quantity
Paneer 500 Gram
Sugar 200 gram
Water 500 ml

Recipe Method

Selecting the Paneer – paneer can be home made or even can be purchased from the market, it should by fresh for the perfect result.

Step 1 – Knead the Paneer like a soft dough using hands on flat surface or bowl.


Step 2 – Make small flat balls using palm around 1.5 inches in size.


Step 3 – Boil the water in the bowl and add sugar , wait until sugar dissolves in the boiling water.



Step 4 – Keep the burner on medium flame and  drop the Paneer balls gently in the bowl.


Step 5 – The boiling process should be continued for 15 mins. After 15 mins take off the bowl from the burner and keep it aside until cools down to the room temperature.


Step 6 – Tasty sweet Bengali Rasgulla is ready.


Bengali Rasgulla  is ready, Serve it cool after keeping in the refrigerator for an hour…
