Gobi Paratha Recipe

Among many varieties of paratha, I am going to prepare Gobhi Paratha today, Gobhi paratha is prepared using grated Cauliflower and Besan stuffing. 

  • Preparation time- 10mins
  • Cooking  time   – 30mins  
  • Serves persons –    4


S. No Ingredient Quantity
 1 Wheat Flour 250 Gram
 2 Water 1 Glass
 3 Oil 4 Tablespoon
 4 Cauliflower 250 Gram
 5 Salt  As per taste
 6 Coriander powder 1 Tablespoon
 7 Garam masala 1 Tablespoon
 8 Chopped Green Coriander
 9 Red  chilli powder 1 Tablespoon
10 Besan/Gram flour  2 Tablespoon

Recipe Method

Stuffing Preparation

Step 1 – First grate the cauliflower and also make sure that there are no big chunks of cauliflower left otherwise paratha will break while rolling.


Step 2 – Heat the oil in a kadhai  Once hot add cumin seeds and let them sizzle. Then add chopped green chilli + grated cauliflower + red chilli powder + gram masala + besan/gram flour and 1 tablespoon salt, cook till the mixture becomes dry and keep aside in a bowl.


Paratha Preparation 

 Step 1 – Take wheat flour, salt, oil in a bowl.  Add the water at a time and start kneading the dough. The dough should be soft and smooth.


Step 2 – Break off small  sized pieces from the dough, make them round. Put dry flour on 1 ball and roll it into a small Paratha, Put 1 tablespoon stuffing in the centre of small paratha and make round shape paratha.

Step 3 – Heat a Tawa and put rolled paratha on it, Cook using a little oil, till both the sides are golden brown in colour.

Cauliflower paratha is ready, Serve it with Curd, Butter and Pickle.
