How to make Matar (peas) pulao

Matar (peas) pulao Recipe.

This is simple and easy pulao Recipe.This peas pulao is my childreans favourite.So i make it once in a week and pack there lunch Boxes.I served it with Curd and Aloo gravy sabji.

  • Preparation time- 10 mins
  • Cooking time -20 mins
  • serve persons- 2

Ingredients Details …

S. No Ingredients Quantity
1 Rice( Basmati) 1 cup
2 Oil 2 tbsp
3 Matar(peas) ½ cup
4 Jeera(cumin)seeds ½ tbps
5 Garam masala ½ tbps
6 Green chilli 2 pieces
7 Onion 1 pices
8 salt as per taste
9 Cloves 4 pieces
  1.  wash the Basmati rice till the water runs clear.soak the rice for 30 minutes. Drain and keep aside.
  2.  Heat oil, Ghee in a pan. Add jeera,cloves,and Fry for 2 mins. Now add Onions and sauté till Golden Brown.        Now  add Green chillies  saute till it shrinks. Then add peas and give a quick stir add required salt.
  3.  Rinse the rice and add the pressure cooker. Add water and pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles. Once pressure        releases , open and carefully mix the rice and fluff it up.

  Now matar pulao is ready serve it with curd/paneer sabzi
