Mooli Paratha Recipe

Mooli Paratha is one the best paratha I like due to it’s unique taste, The traditional Mooli Paratha is prepared using raw grated Mooli/Radish. Today Let’s add some taste to this and I am sure you will love it.

I am using Besan/Gram Flour with grated Mooli /Radish to prepare the stuffing.

  • Preparation time -20mins
  • Cooking time – 30mins
  • Serve person- 4

S. No Ingredients Quantity
1 Mooli (Radish) 500 Gram
2 Wheat flour 250 Gram
3 Jeera (Cumin seeds) 1 Tablespoon
4 Garam masala 1 Tablespoon
5 Green chilli  2 to 3 pieces
6 Salt   As per taste
7 Gram flour 3 Tablespoon
8 Onion 1 Pieces
9 Oil 4-6 Tablespoon

 Recipe Method

Stuffing Method

 Step 1 – Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds until crackles and turns glossy. 


Step 2 – Add  Green chilies, Grated mooli, Garam masala, Red chili and 2 tablespoons Besan/Gram flour and saute for 5-8 mins.


  Step 3 – Remove it to a plate and let it cool completely. Cook till the mixture becomes dry. Make sure that it does not have any moisture in it.


Dough Method

Step 4 – Take a bowl add wheat flour + salt + water and knead a soft dough.


Paratha Preparation

Step 1 – Break off small  sized pieces from the dough, make them round. Put dry flour on 1 ball and roll it into a small size paratha.

Step 2 – Now put  Mooli/Radish  stuffing on it. Wrap up the paratha and roll it into the round shape.

Step 3 – Place Tawa on gas and heat it. Put rolled paratha on the hot pan, apply oil on both sides, turn over time to time and cook till both sides turns brown.

Mooli Paratha is ready, Serve it with curd, Butter or Pickle.
