Moong Dal Chilla Recipe

Chilla is traditionally prepared using Besan/Gram Flour and is served with Chutney, Tomato Ketchup, Pickel or Yogurt.  Today  you can add a healthy taste in your plate Moong Dal Chilla, a popular street food of North India.

 Ingredients

 

 

S. No. Ingredient Quantity
1 Yellow (moong dal) 100 Gram
2 Salt As per taste
3  Jeera (cumin seeds)  1 Tablespoon
4  Chopped Green Corianser  1 Tablespoon
5 Chopped Onion 1 Pieces
6 Red chilli Powder 1 Tablespoon

 

Batter preparation.

Step 1 – Soak Moong dal for 2-3 hours and Strain off the water once soaked.

Step 2 –Take a grinder and grind the dal to make a smooth paste.

Step 2 – Take a deep bowl add the Moong dal paste + Cumin Seed + Red chilli powder + Salt + Chopped Green Coriander add the water to make the thin paste.

Step 1 –  Heat non-stick Tawa and grease 1 tablespoon olive/refined oil on. Pour the moong dal paste center of the Tawa and spread it round to take circular shape.

Step 2 – Cook the Cheela till the upper layer changes its colour as shown, and let it cook on another side similarly.

Step 3 – Take 1 tablespoon Chopped Onion + Chopped Green Coriander mixture put in the centre of the chilla and fold it like a roll and cut small pieces.

Moong Dal chilla is ready, Serve it hot with Green chutney/Tomato ketchup…

      Yes Madhvika, you can try other chilla like Meeta Chilla and Paneer Chilla. They are equally simple and i am sure you will love it.
