Namak Pare Recipe
Namkeens are the most liked snacks all over the world and preferably in India. I always prefer to eat hygienic food. To maintain this I use to prepare Namak Pare in my home. Namak Pare can be easily stored for 1-2 months and requires very less effort for preparation. Let’s how quickly you can make Namak Pare in your home.
- Preparation time: 20 minutes
- Cooking time- 30 minutes
- Serves persons – 4
|1||Ajwain or Caromseeds||1 Tablespoon|
for Dough prepration
|3||Salt||As per taste|
|4||Maida/Refined Flour or Wheat Flour||500 gram|
|5||Olive/Refiend Oil||500 ml|
Step 1 – Take Wheat Flour or Refined flour, Salt and Ajwain (Carom seeds) in a bowl and mix it well.
Step 2 – Add 100 ml refined or olive oil and rub it with flour mixture to resemble soft texture. Can you notice that i can make laddu type shape using the mixture.
Step 3 – Add the little water and start kneading the dough. The dough should not be too tight or not too soft like roti. Cover the dough and let it rest for at least 10 minutes.
Step 4 –Take a medium size ball from the dough and Flaten out using your palm.
Step 5- Start rolling it into a big circle like Chapati/Roti using the rolling pin. The thickness should by same as keep for Chapati/Poori.
Step 6 – Cut into the desired shape using the sharp knife.
Step 7 – Heat oil in the kadhai and drop the namak pare in the oil.
Step 8 – Fry from both sides in low medium flame (this process around 20 mins in low flame), till it becomes golden brown and Crispy. Note – Low flame is used to maintain softness in Namak Pare during fry process.
Step 9 – Use absorbent paper to remove excess oil from the Namak Pare.
