Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 pieces potato chopped
  • 500 ml Sour curd/yogurt/dahi
  • 50 gram besna or gram flour
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp Methi or Fenugreek leaves
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds

Instructions
  1. Peel and cut the potato into small pieces. Heat the pan and add oil, as soon heated, add cumin seeds and methi seeds and allow them to crackle.

  2. Add cut potatoes + salt and cover with the lid on the medium flame for 10 minutes.

  3. Take a mixer jar and add buttermilk + gram flour and mix it properly

  4. The properly mixed mixture will be smooth without leaving and gram flour particle.

  5. Potatoes are almost cooked.

  6. Add turmerick powder + red chilli powder and mix it well.

  7. Now pour the besan + yogurt mixture in the pan with cooked potato and keep stirring on high flame.

  8. You can notice the colour has changed. Kadi had started boiling. At this stage switch the flame to the low mode and allow potato Kadi to boil for next 15 minutes. Switch off the flame after 15 min.

  9. Patato kadi is ready.
