Ram Laddu Recipe

Ram Laddu is the popular chat food of Delhi. It is made by two types of pulse Bengal gram and green gram. Basically it is Vada type recipe. When i heard about it i think it is a sweet laddu but it was not a sweet laddu, Its a Pakoda type chat which is very delicious and tasty.This recipe served with grated radish or green mango chutney and garnish with chat masala and red chili powder. It is classic food for any occasion or any party.You can easily make this at home in just few minutes. It is best food for rainy season.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Split Bengal Gram/Channa dal
  • 1 Cup Green Gram/Dhule Moong dal
  • 2 pinch baking soda
  • 1/2 tbsp Asafotida
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 500 ml oil
  • 1 piece Raw Mango
  • 4 pice Chopped Green Chili
  • 2 tbsp mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp green coriander
  • 1 piece Radish
  • 1 pinch red chili powder
  • 1 pinch roasted cumin powder
  • 1 pinch chat masala

Instructions
  1. Assemble all the ingredients properly.
  2. Soak the both pulses in water for 5-6 hours.
  3. Grind the both pulses and make a smooth paste.
  4. Pour the paste in a bowl, then add asafotida, salt according to your taste, baking soda and mix it well.
  5. Mix the mixture well for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Now heat the oil in a pan on medium gas flame.
  7. Make a small size bolls and Pour into the oil.
  8. Fry the balls on medium gas flame.
  9. Fry them until it get light golden brown.
  10. Now make green mango chutney.
  11. Peal and cut the raw mango, and extract the pulp from it.
  12. Take a 1/2 piece of raw mango in grinder,then add green chili, green coriander, mint leaves, salt according to your taste and 3-4 tbsp of water mix grind this mixture in smooth paste.
  13. Now green chutney is ready.

  14. Add little amount of water in chutney to make them thin.
  15. Now Serve the laddu in plate and then garnish it with, grated radish, green chutney,1 pinch of red chili, roasted cumin powder,1 pinch of chat masala.
  16. Enjoyed the tasty and spicy ram laddu .
Recipe Notes

Raam Laddu is ready, Serve it with grated radish and mango green chutney.
