Sithora is a famous North Indian dish. this dish is a very useful for women during post delivery. Sithora is made specially during winter. This Sithora is very tasty and it gives a lot of energy to the one who eats it. Jaggery/Gur and Dry fruits are main ingredients to prepare Sithora.

Sithora Dry fruits Recipe
A tasty Indian Sweet recipe prepared using lots of dry fruits and Gud/Jaggery as a main ingredient. Sithora is very good for pregnant women and new moms.
Add chopped almond + chopped Kaju and roast/fry the nuts on high flame. take out and allow it to cool as soon fried. Nuts may take 2-3 minutes on high flame to fry properly.
Now pour Kismis in the Kadhai and fry it. Note we have not fried Kismis with Nuts because Kismis need less time to fry property.
Fry Gond/Tragacanth gum in the ghee and keep aside to cool it down. Gond/Tragacanth gum will take 8-10 sec to fry.
Now take 3-4 tbsp ghee in kadhai and roast puffed fox nuts. Note , it is important to use less ghee to roast puffed fox nuts else puffed fox nuts will soak all ghee and will become excessive of oil. Allow it to cool as soon roasted.
Now semi grind the puffed fox nuts in grinder as shown.
Now take Gud/Jaggery and pour Gud/Jaggery in Ghee. Do not use extra ghee for this. Use remaing ghee after above pocess. and allow Gud/Jaggery to melt down properly. Note - Do not boil this mixture just wait until Gud/Jaggery melts.
As soon Gud/Jaggery melts, add the Khas Khas dana/poppy seeds in the melted mixture.
Not wait for single boiling process and as soon you see that mixture has started boiling, switch off the flame.
Add the dry fruits and the Gud/Jaggery and Ghee mixture and mix all properly.
See, how the final mixture is looking it is enough thick now.
Take a serving plate and Pour the mixture in the serving plate and allow it to cool down to the room temperature.
The Sithora is ready, you can cut the slices from the plate, It tastes like a fruit and nut chocolate. The dish can be stored up to 30 days in dry place.
