Sabudana Kheer Recipe

Sabudana Kheer is a tasty sweet dish that can be made in fast (vrata-upawas). Sabudana  is ready to cook food and is a good resource of the nutrition. Sabudana is used to prepare many dishes like Khichdi, Vada, Sabudana Tikki.

  • Preparation – 5 mins
  • Cooking Time – 10-15 mins
  • Serve Person – 4

Sabudana Kheer Ingredients

Sabudana/Sago 150 gm
MIlk 500 mil
Sugar 50 gm
Cardamom Powder ½ tbsp
Almond 4-5 pieces

Recipe Method


Step 1 – Wash Sabu dana in drinking water and drain them well.

Step 2 – Take a pan and boil the milk.


Step 3 – When milk starts boiling  add Sabudana and, mix it well. Note – do not add Sabuda until milk does not starts boiling else it will separate the milk fat from the milk.


Step 4 – Cook them over medium flame until they turn transparent.

Step 5 – Now add the sugar and cardamom powder and boil 2-4 mins.


Step 6 – Transfer  Sabudana kheer in serving bowl, Garnish it with Almond and Saffron.


Sabudana Kheer is ready, Serve hot with dinner or lunch.
