Tasty Soft Namkeen Mathri Recipe
Homemade Mathri is prepared using Refined Flour and is very easy to prepare. You can also use wheat flour to prepare Mathri. Homemade Mathri is hygienic and can be stored for 1-2 months.

|1||Ajwain (Carom Seeds)||1 Tablespoon|
for Dough prepration
|3||Salt||As per taste|
|4||Maida/Refined Flour or Wheat Flour||500 gram|
|5||Olive/Refined Oil||500 ml|
Step 1 – Take Refined flour, Salt and Ajwain (Carom seeds) in a bowl and mix it well.
Step 2 – Add 100 ml refined or olive oil and knead the dough so that you can easily make laddu after pressing the dough. This is called Maun preparation and help to preserve softness in Mathri after frying it.
Step 3 – Now add water and Knead the tight dough, like we knead for poori .
Step 4 –Take a medium size ball from the dough and Flaten out using your palm.
Step 5- Start rolling it into a big circle like Chapati/Roti using the rolling pin. The thickness should by same as keep for Chapati/Poori.
Step 6 – now use any circular cap-like shape (you can find from your kitchen Utensils) and cut the small Mathri. Can you notice small linear holes in Mathri? You can use the knife to put the liner holes on Mathri.
Step 7 – Heat 500 Ml oil in the Kadhai and drop the Mathri.
Step 8 – Fry on the low medium flame from both sides till it becomes golden brown and Crispy. Take out in the absorbent paper to remove excess oil from the Mathri.
